The Bok resemble to her little sister but with fruit, malt and chocolate notes. A slightly acid attached gives way to a malted, chocolate flavour. The finish is long, fruity, slightly piquant and without a bitter aftertaste.

Description

A solid and expressive brown ale, Barbar Bok’s inherited its original recipe, based on malt, soft wheat and honey, from its famous big sister. With its honeyed and spiced nose, it strongly resembles Barbãr, but with fruit, malt and chocolate notes. A decided and slightly acid attack gives way at once to a malted, chocolate flavour. It is fairly high in alcohol, but without exaggeration. The finish is long, fruity, slightly piquant and without a bitter aftertaste. Barbãr Bok is uniquely complex and is a fine tasting beer particularly appreciated in winter.

If there’s 3 Beers that I’d like to have forever (without the risk of destroying my liver, lol), it would be the Barbar sisters and the Black C. But since I’m in the BOK page, let me share my thoughts:

Have you ever had a quiet night, alone, with a loved one or someone you really like and you hit that point in your conversation where you’ve both decided that this is it, you’re really meant to be? You smile, he/she smiles, and takes a sip before you give each other the look that says it all – “We should be together.”

This beer, I feel, is the perfect companion for life-changing moments like these.

Barbar Bok is sweet, like love and life, with a slightly bitter/burnt after taste that still goes down smoothly. It is meant to be shared, meant to be enjoyed, meant to be had.

Regardless of marital status or degree of singleness, Barbar Bok should be experienced at least once… if not everyday.
